Our Program

Kirtan is about expressing how much you feel for God. It opens our heart and make love of God flow with us.

This Kirtan workshop will equip the student in two ways.

First is the excellence and the second is mood & consciousness in which to do this kirtans. Just like a child is given sugar coated pill, similarly kirtan along with its sweet music is the medicine for healing all the pain in our hearts.

Kirtan means glorification of the Lord and purification of heart.

Since time immemorial this kirtan has been propagated by many acaryas like Madhvacarya, Ramanujacarya and 500 years ago Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu inundated the whole of India with kirtans. 50 years ago, Srila Prabhupada spread this kirtan movement worldwide making it accessible for anyone on the planet. Today, kirtan has become a buzz word for spiritual healing in western countries.

This kirtan workshop will not only help one to equip with the basic essential skill set but will also help a student to develop control over the mind and transform one’s consciousness.

Regarding excellence, a student will learn basic alankaras, how to culture the voice, lessons from the basics of classical and how to compose different Hare Krishna kirtans & Bhajans in different ragas. They will also learn in what mood to sing a kirtan. We hope you will find this curriculum interesting and helpful for your personal growth. We invite you to join us and be a part of this musical journey.
