Yoga Philosophy Teacher
Nimai Lila Das holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the reputed Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. After working for 3 years in Tata Motors and L&T, in 2010 he moved to Govardhan Ecovillage(GEV), a 90 acre model farm community set in the rural part of Maharashtra, to enhance its sustainability initiatives. As the Chief Sustainability Officer at GEV he has been instrumental in expanding the Ecovillage’s role in the fields of Water Conservation, Waste Management, Alternative Energy, Green Buildings, Organic Farming, Rural Empowerment and Global Outreach. He has authored many award-winning technical papers on sustainability and is a regular speaker at various distinguished conferences in India and abroad. He was invited to “The Emerging Leaders Climate Change Convergence” in Rome, Italy along with 100 other delegates from world over.
He is also a faculty member in the “Bhaktivedanta Vidyapitham”, a Vedic college at GEV and is also the Dean of the “Govardhan School of Yoga”. His areas of expertise include Bhagavad Gita, Shrimad Bhagavatam, Yoga Sutras, Mantra meditation and Vedic Sustainability. He is an avid reader and is actively involved in conducting various seminars and workshops on lifestyle management and mindful living for students and working professionals.
